Easter Weekend

On the Saturday of Easter Weekend we took the girls to a couple of Easter Egg hunts. The first one was at the local Air Force Base. There were not that many kids there and they both got tons of eggs. The second was put on by the community. By the second hunt Lilly was warmed up and ready to go, she was stretching on the sideline before the official start. Sophie still didn’t get it this year and thought she could wander around finding the color of eggs she wanted. The way they do Easter egg hunts around here, that strategy is not an option. All the eggs are just laid out on an open field (no hunting is involved, it is all about quick grabbing) and when start is yelled you are lucky if the whole thing lasts more than a minute as kids swoop in from all sides.

Grandma Mecham bought and sent the girls their Easter dresses (thanks Grandma). They were so excited when the package arrived. We tried to get some good pictures of the girls, but Sophie was a bit hungry and ready to move onto Easter dinner.

I couldn't get a picture of both of them with their eyes open, but at least they are happy.
